Day thirteen: Tuesday

Some more pictures…

Day twelve: Monday

Today was packed with work, so nothing much to tell.

But since I know everyone’s a sucker for pictures…

Day eleven: Sunday

Alô,

after a late night with the guys at Carmen’s and a good time at Q Bar, today it’s off to the cuntryside now. Mount Lao.

The mountain is something like 1300m high and 30km away from downtown Qingdao.

We started the tour in front of the office, got some breakfast at Starbucks and took the bus to a small town at the foot of Mount Lao. We went up the mountain by following the road for a few hundred meters and then switched over to some side roads and singletrails.

At almost every corner there were some words carved into the stone, statues of famous chinese philosophers & scientists and aweseome views.

After some two hours of walking, we stopped at a little creek for some lunch which consisted mostly of chinese sweets. I had bought myself a Sandwich over at Starbucks, good idea. I almost didn’t want to ask, but Tracy was eating something out of a bag and I had to know:”What’s that?” T:”The chicken’s claw… Want some…?”

After lunch we continued our jourey towards the top of the mountain, through some bamboo forrests and through the gate that is built up in front of the last path. From there, several million steps lead to the top of the mountain, maybe even kazillion –> It was awfull! When we arrived at a station, they told me that this was not actually really the top of the mountain yet but we wouldn’t have time to go up there. I was a bit sad, really, but OK: Down to Qingdao again :)

Hope you enjoy the scenery…

Coming up: Monday! ;)
